Herbs for Fertility
and Pregnancy

For women desiring a healthy pregnancy from
preconception to birth, learn about herbs used to safely
increase fertility and carry a baby through the first
trimester. Topics discussed will include herbs to
strengthen the body before labor, prepare tissues for
birth, and remedies useful in labor, along with safe
herbs to use for common pregnancy discomforts and
illnesses. Topics will be of particular interest for
women with a history of miscarriage.

Patrick’s Day. GEM member Mary Ann Gildroy will
demonstrate how to make Irish Soda Bread from a recipe
her own Irish-born mother brought from “the Old
Country”. Mary Ann’s presentation will share the history
of Soda Bread, include a demonstration on how to make
the bread, and tips for modernizing the recipe with
organic ingredients. Fresh baked soda bread will be
served with strong Irish tea.
