Working Members


Good Earth Market relies upon the support and engagement of working member-owners!  Becoming a working member can be fun and interesting, contributes to the growth of the store, and is an integral part of our ability to run our Market.


Current openings:

Substitute laundry
- Project based, 3 hours earned per load of laundry

1-2 handymen
-
 Perform various building and maintenance projects.  Experience required.
- Project based, 3-12 hours monthly

Product promotions

- Handout samples of products to customers, maintain a cheerful presence and greet customers, share Co-op information, answer customer questions.
- Hours flexible



How do I become a working member?
Complete an application and return to the Co-op.  You will be contacted by Carol Van Tuinen, Working Member Coordinator, to discuss the best position for both you and the Co-op.


What is expected of me?
All working members must be a current member and are expected to
provide excellent customer service, to work safely and carefully, to take direction from any and all Co-op staff, and to be a positive member of the team.
 


What are the benefits of becoming a working member?

Contribution to the Co-op
Co-ops are built on a foundation of member-owner engagement.  By working at your Co-op, you become involved in the Co-op community, a cooperative organization depending upon people helping people, helping it to grow and thrive.

Discounts
Discounts are based upon the number of hours worked and are effective from the fifth of the month following the one worked through the fifth of the next month.

3 hours =  5% discount
6 hours = 10% discount
9 hours = 15% discount

Unused hours are carried forward.

Special Order Pricing
Working members receive additional discounts on ordering in case sizes.
